Students from Far Eastern University — Manila held their first Pink Wednesday, last March 9, in support of Presidential Candidate Leni Robredo and Vice-Presidential Candidate Kiko Pangilinan. The organizers of the event estimated 200 Tamaraw students joined the silent rally. Geb Al Bari, a communication student and one of the event’s organizers said the event was made possible by student leaders and student volunteers who believe the governance that the Robredo-Pangilinan tandem will effectuate once elected to office.

“Me and my fellow student leaders planned it out. We thought that we [needed] something new [to] solidify the support for Leni-Kiko tandem.” said Al Bari.

When asked why Leni Robredo, Al Bari affirmed that having a great record of accomplishment, no patterns of corruption, moral competence, and heart for service is why Robredo should be elected as the next president of the Philippines.

The group held a signatory campaign for the Leni-Kiko tandem in FEU’s Freedom Park — a symbolism of the university’s openness to allow its students to express their freedom of expression and support the candidate whom they deem capable of leading the country.

There is much more to look forward to “every Wednesday is a kaTAMpink Wednesday in FEU (Far Eastern University). We prepared several activities for each Wednesday until May 9.” said Al Bari.
